Ho Kuk Mu Sul as a martial arts system includes facets of many martial arts. These include, but are not limited to:
Tae Kwon Do
Ho Kuk Mu Sul is a study of many of Korea’s traditional martial arts combined into one system.
Ho Kuk Mu Sul encompasses the hard, hard-soft, and soft aspects of martial arts. It is an eclectic blend of punching and kicking, throws and projections, as well as break falls and tumbling. This teaching system combines strangling, grappling, and joint locking techniques with advanced study of acupuncture pressure points and nerve centers in a dynamic system that emphasizes speed and fluidity over raw force.
Ho Kuk Mu Sul also employs the use of many of Korea’s ancient traditional weapons to include sword, knives, staff, short sticks, and the cane to name a few. Single- and two-person armed and unarmed forms are also taught.
